Full Name: Jacob Sworski

Where did you grow up?

 I was actually born and raised in Poland.  I came to the US at the age of 12 with my family.

Why did you move to Detroit?

 In 1990, I followed my parents and moved to the US to pursue a better quality of  life. Poland was a Communist country at the time.

Tell us about your life outside of the office.

I have been together with my wife for almost 18 years and married for 14. She is my main support system and daily cheerleader, and we are proud parents to two amazing kids. My son Jax is twelve and my daughter Vanessa is eight. We also recently became pet owners to a teacup yorkie named Tia.

What awards or positions did younger Jacob boast?

I have been very athletic and into sports from an early age – I was part of a swim team on track to partake in the Olympics before leaving Poland. 

When did you realize you wanted to go into real estate?

From an early age I was always intrigued by large buildings and the massive presence they have on cities and communities. I guess you could say I had a calling.

Three things that make you happy.

 My family, working out and helping and giving back to others

What was the last book you read?

 The 10X Rule by Grant Cardone 

Do you have a favorite restaurant in the area?

Capital Grille.

Do you have any pre-work or morning rituals?

Coffee, read emails, catch up on current events, stationary bike for early cardio.

Do you have any words you try to live by?

“It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward” – Rocky

How do you take your coffee?

 Light cream and Splenda or espresso

What is your go-to drink at the bar?

A good single malt Scotch or chilled vodka martini up
